Real Madrid have been told to offer Sergio Ramos a new contract by former player Hamit Altintop.
The veteran centre-back is on the verge of leaving Real due to disagreements over a new deal.
He wants a reported £13.4million to remain at the Bernabeu for one more season before retiring.

Real are only willing to offer £11.1million, leading to interest from Man Utd and Liverpool.
But Altintop, who played with Ramos during the 2011/12 campaign, thinks the Spanish giants would miss Ramos ‘badly’ if he secured an exit.
Speaking to Goal, the retired Turkish star said: “Sergio Ramos is amazing. On and off the pitch.
“He knows the rules. He knows what’s needed to get results, to win the biggest trophies. His experience is incredible. Not many players spend 15 or 16 years at Real Madrid.
“I have a lot of respect for him, and he deserves everything; all trophies, all contracts, all interest! Real would miss him badly if he left.”
Reports have previously suggested that Man Utd were ‘ready to meet’ with Ramos’ agent over a switch to Old Trafford.
Those talks have yet to materialise, putting a transfer in doubt.
Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain are the other top clubs to have been linked with the Spain international.
Earlier this month, the player scored as Real beat Atalanta 3-1 in the Champions League round of 16.
He was then ruled out of their quarter-final clash against Liverpool due to injury.
However, Los Blancos got off to a winning start in the tie by beating Liverpool 3-1 in the first leg.
Ramos will be hoping his team can get the job done in the second leg to continue on the road to European success.
He’s already won a host of trophies during his time in Madrid, including five La Liga titles and four Champions Leagues.
That success makes him an attractive signing for the likes of Man Utd and PSG, who are chasing European glory of their own.
Ramos is expected to return in time for the Champions League semi-finals, should Real keep Liverpool at bay in the second leg.
