This year’s annual Center for Produce Safety Research Symposium will be held virtually in June and July. The CPS will present the event through a series of five weekly live webinars.

The sessions are set on five consecutive Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to noon Pacific time.

Final research reports will fall into these categories:

  •  Environmental Risk Management
  • Listeria Biology and Risk
  • Outbreak Risk Response
  • Postharvest and Supply Chain Risk
  • Resolving and Optimizing Detection

This symposium will also spend time on the industry application of the results.

The 2020 symposium provided broad glimpses of knowledge gained and in-progress awareness of its sponsored research to its largest and most geographically broad stakeholder audience yet. Miss the 2020 symposium? Recordings of the webinars can be viewed here.

The CPS board of directors appreciates the support provided that allowed them to hold a successful virtual event in 2020. “While we all look forward to meeting in-person again, the 2021 program will focus on timely research results that support food safety programs throughout the fresh produce industry.”

Those interested in sponsoring the events can find the form here.
