James Blunt has asked for specific family heirlooms to be returned to him after his villa in Ibiza was broken into.

Blunt has taken to offering a cash reward for the return of a few very specific items from the raid, which happened early Thursday morning.

The singer seemed less interested in getting back all the 100 estimated items taken, but rather family heirlooms.

Specifically, he mentioned cufflinks and a pocket watch given to him by his grandfather and a bayonet from the time he spent as a soldier in the Kosovo War.

Blunt actually joked about the raid, saying in a statement to Diario de Ibiza: ‘The thieves took about 100 items, including a black and white rug that my wife did not like, so I suspect she could be involved.

‘They also took all my t-shirts and shirts, so they must not have a very good sense of style, since I am not known for mine.’

The You’re Beautiful singer empathised with the burglars saying he ‘understood it was a difficult time for many people on the island.’

As a result, he has offered a reward for the old watch and the bayonet, saying he ‘would gladly pay a reward for their return.’

Blunt then asked for anyone with information to contact him on his personal email.

It’s suspected that three people were involved in the burglary as supposedly corresponding fingerprints were found within the villa.

The property is currently being renovated so Blunt, his wife Sofia Wellesley and their children were not on the premises at the time of the crime.

Blunt bought the six-bedroom property for £1.7 million back in 2006. He later married his wife, the granddaughter of the 8th Duke of Wellington, in 2014. The couple have two sons.
