Liverpool may have missed out on Timo Werner, but Rhian Brewster is showcasing his goal-scoring abilities on loan at Swansea City.
The striker joined the Championship side in January and opened the scoring in the 18th minute against Middlesbrough, converting Andrew Ayew’s cross from close range.
While celebrating the goal, he held up a shirt that read: “Our colour is not a crime” in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.
Just three minutes later, Brewster hit a first-time volley beyond the goalkeeper to put Steve Cooper’s side 2-0 up at the Riverside Stadium.
The 20-year-old now has six goals in 12 appearances in the Championship this season.
