Showtime has officially renewed Emmy winner Lena Waithe’s hit drama series “The Chi” for a fourth season with Justin Hillian set to return as an executive producer and showrunner. This past season the coming of age story set on the South Side of Chicago weathered the issue of Jason Mitchell’s character being killed off after Mitchell was fired from the series due to allegations of harassment. Mike Tyson Mysteries
Adult Swim has cancelled the animated comedy “Mike Tyson Mysteries” after four seasons. Staff writer Larry Dorf confirmed on The Modern Moron Podcast that the decision to cancel the series happened towards the start of the year. The Westing Game
HBO Max has handed MGM and UA Television a script to series order for “The Westing Game” based on the 1978 mystery-comedy novel by Ellen Raskin. The story follows the bizarre chain of events that begins when sixteen people gather for the will reading of a game-loving millionaire who has chosen a virtual stranger, and a possible murderer, to inherit his vast fortune by playing one last game. Staged
The Michael Sheen and David Tennant-led lockdown comedy “Staged” has been picked up for the United States by Hulu. Created by Simon Evans and Phin Glynn and write and directed by Evans, the six half-hour episodes chronicles the cast of a furloughed West End theatre production during the coronavirus pandemic. Georgia Tennant, Anna Lundberg and Lucy Eaton also star. [Source: Deadline]

Following strong reviews, HBO Max has released the entire pilot for the Ridley Scott-produced and partially directed sci-fi series “Raised by Wolves for free online via YouTube. The series centers on two androids tasked with raising human children on a mysterious virgin planet. As the burgeoning colony of humans threatens to be torn apart by religious differences, the androids learn that controlling the beliefs of humans is a treacherous and difficult task.
