Samuel L. Jackson is set to reprise the role of Nick Fury in a new Marvel Studios TV series currently in development for the Disney+ service.
The plot details of the show are being kept under wraps, but Jackson is attached to star with Kyle Bradstreet (“Mr. Robot,” “Berlin Station,” “Copper”) attached to write and executive produce.
Jackson’s Fury was last seen onboard a Skrull ship in deep space during the end credits of “Spider-Man: Far from Home”. He has played the character in multiple films and on two episodes of “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” but this would mark the first regular television role of his career.
Should the project go to series it would be the latest big budget Marvel show to get the greenlight at Disney Plus from Kevin Feige’s Marvel Studios. “WandaVision” is expected to arrive around Thanksgiving, “The Falcon and Winter Soldier” and “Loki” in early and mid-2021, while “She-Hulk,” “Hawkeye,” “Moon Knight” and “Ms. Marvel” series are also on the way.
