Hollyoaks has a reputation for making history, and it does so again tonight (September 23), as it airs soap’s first socially-distanced birth scene.

In last night’s episode, Liberty Savage (Jessamy Stoddart) asked Brody Weston (Adam Woodward) to join in on an anti-natal session.

However, the experience sparked another reminder of Buster Smith (Nathan Sussex), and therefore he stormed out.

Liberty was determined to ensure Brody was okay, and thus she set out to look for him.

However, upon approaching Cunningham’s Grande Bazaar, she went into labour.

In tonight’s episode, Liberty is helped into The Hutch, but Misbah Maalik (Harvey Virdi) is worried that there might be complications with the birth.

However, in spite of her fears, Liberty delivers a baby girl — with Sienna Blake (Anna Passey) and Brody by her side.

The question is: will they finally get their happily ever after?

Hollyoaks continues Wednesday September 23 at 7pm on E4.
