Another factor could be your pillow; make sure you are not mildly allergic to what you pillow is made of be it synthetic fibers or goose feathers. Pillows can be made of many ingredients and you can easily find one that suits your needs.

If however you can count out either lifestyle or environmental factors then you may then look to natural sleep aids to cure your insomnia. The chances are that you probably suffer from a very common problem and that is that your body doesn’t produce enough melatonin.

You need melatonin to get a proper night’s sleep. It is produced by the body when the pineal gland in the brain produces serotonin which in turn is transformed into melatonin at night when contact with light is reduced.

If you are to go down the route of using a natural sleep aid then look for one that can boost the levels of melatonin in your body. In general you need only take these sleep aids 30 minutes before you go to bed to help you gently fall asleep.
