When you are home schooling you may think that you won’t be able to teach your student or your children how to play an instrument. While they may not be able to play in a band, you can teach them how to play an instrument when you are homeschooling, even if you don’t know how to play it yourself.
If you are not sure if your student will continue playing instruments you may look into places in your area that will rent instruments before purchasing one. These places may also have lessons available for the instruments, or know of someone that you can have teach your students.
One way that you can have your student learn to play an instrument is to sign them up for lessons. If you look in the newspapers you will find many places that will teach students from either your home or their studio.
If you don’t want to pay someone to teach them to play the instrument, you can look online and find a free tutorial that will help your student learn to play the instrument. There are tutorials online that will give you everything that you need to know how to play that instrument. Many of these places will be free, and offer great tutorials. You can also chose to pay for some online instructional this may get you books to follow along with while having the visual of the videos to follow along.
Just because you home school, doesn’t mean that your student can’t learn an instrument. Learning how to play an instrument will help your children learn more and fulfill a sense of accomplishment while learning a new skill.
