According to reports, Man Utd have ‘asked to be kept informed’ about Robert Lewandowski’s ‘situation’ amid Bayern Munich’s interest in Erling Haaland.

Lewandowski has been consistently linked with a move away from Bayern Munich in recent months.

Following a highly successful spell at Borussia Dortmund, he signed for Bayern Munich after his contract expired in 2014.

Manchester United must follow Fergie and drop Varane, Maguire

The 33-year-old has established himself as one of the best strikers in Europe since his move to Bayern Munich.

Lewandowski has contributed 333 goals from his 362 appearances for the German giants across all competitions. He has won seven Bundesliga titles in this time.

His current Bayern contract expires in 2023. 90min are reporting that a ‘number of Premier League clubs have concrete interest in him’.

They add that Bayern Munich are ‘in the race’ to sign Haaland from Dortmund. His £68m release clause becomes active this summer.

Man Utd ‘would consider’ buying Lewandowski if he becomes available.

The Red Devils are understood to have ‘asked to be kept informed’ about Lewandowski’s ‘situation’ ahead of this summer.

Elsewhere, Man Utd youngster Hannibal Mejbri admits he ‘does everything like’ Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo:

“Cristiano, it’s the very, very high level. It’s amazing.

“You can sense the experience, because he might never work the most, but when you have to score the goal to win, he will. He’s always there when you need him. He’ll be decisive for life. I was surprised to see everything he is capable of doing.

“Live, it’s very impressive. In front of goal, it’s unbelievable.

“He’s a very nice teammate. If you need, you can ask him for some tips, he’ll be available. Just like everyone else, but he stays distant. It’s Cristiano still… Plus, I don’t quite know how to do it. I’m scared, I don’t know how to talk to him.

“I’ve watched him on the television since I was a kid, and there, to be with him, it’s special. I am living something exceptional.

“I’m training with one of the greatest in the history of football. I’m learning all the time. I look at everything he does. I look at what he drinks. I do everything like him.”
