11 Places to Buy Fake Plants If You Can’t Keep Keep Real Ones Alive

As someone who could kill a plant by just looking at it, I wish I gave fake plants a try sooner. Even though I always wished I could fill my apartment with plants for the #aesthetic, I always assumed artificial plants would be too tacky and ugly. But guess what? There are a ton of realistic, beautiful options out there—no upkeep required. (Well, sometimes they need a good dusting. But it’s a lot easier than keeping a real plant alive.)

Because the type of fake plant you get depends so much on personal preference, I’ve rounded up the best places to buy fake plants so you can browse yourself. But I slipped a few recommendations in there for good measure, too. Below, find the best places to buy fake plants, from succulents to flower arrangements.

1. World Market

I’m biased because most of my fake plants are from here, but let me just say: I am pleased. (You can check out my little office corner here.) World Market has two places you can get artificial plant offerings: its faux succulents, botanicals, and flowers section and its faux potted tree section. Just in case you really want to go all out.

3. Wayfair

Like most things at Wayfair, its fake plant section is robust and often affordable. Like, a rabbit hole you could fall down for hours. If you’re on the lookout for a very particular type of planter to fit perfectly into your space, you’ll probably find it here.
